Thank you for considering a handcrafted leather piece.

Each item is made slowly and deliberately, using time honoured hand-crafted techniques and carefully selected full-grain leather. The result is an object designed to accompany you for years, growing more beautiful with use.

Leather is a living material. Over time it softens, acquires a natural sheen, and develops a patina that reflects its journey with you. Subtle variations in the grain — fine lines, pores, and natural markings — are not flaws but hallmarks of authenticity, the signature of a material left uncorrected and celebrated for its honesty. All the imperfections eventually work into the patina and make it that much more special.

Respect the Elements

Leather is a living, organic material that responds to its surroundings. Water, direct sunlight, heat, or extremes of humidity can subtly alter its color, texture, and sheen. Avoid prolonged exposure to these conditions to preserve the natural beauty of your piece. If your leather comes into contact with moisture, gently blot it with a soft, dry cloth and allow it to air dry naturally. This prevents stains, bubbles, or surface irregularities from forming.

Understand the Material

Each pieces is crafted from full-grain leather, the highest-quality layer of the hide, left intact to reveal its natural markings — wrinkles, veins, and pores. These characteristics are not flaws but hallmarks of authenticity, transparency, and durability. Over time, leather softens and develops a patina unique to its owner, reflecting the way it is handled and the environments it experiences. This transformation is part of the beauty and individuality of handcrafted leather.

Hardware & Details

The metal components of your piece — clasps, buckles, or other fittings — are designed with precision and durability in mind. Made from quality metals such as solid brass, stainless steel, or aluminum, and often coated with traditional finishes, they complement the leather and contribute to its personality. Regular cleaning ensures that both leather and hardware age gracefully together.

Proper Use & Storage

Avoid overfilling your leather object, as excessive strain can distort its shape permanently. Be mindful of contact with inks, cosmetics, dark textiles, or other materials that may leave marks. When not in use, store your item in a cool, dry place, ideally within a dust bag, box, or soft cloth wrap. Supporting the shape with tissue paper or cushions inside zippers or straps helps maintain its form. Refrain from using moisture-absorbing sachets, which can dry the leather excessively.

Nourishment & Artisan Care

Leather matures with time, gaining softness, sheen, and character. Occasional conditioning with a natural, high-quality leather balm will help preserve suppleness and surface integrity. For deeper care — brightening patina, repairing corners, addressing scratches, or refreshing hardware — entrust your piece to skilled artisans. Avoid attempting repairs with unsuitable products, which can cause damage. With attentive care and professional maintenance (when required), your leather object will retain its beauty over many years.
